Speckled Trout Fishing In Florida
Speckled or Spotted Sea Trout, also known as Cynoscion Nebulosus. Contray to its name the spotted trout is not a member of the trout family but of the drum family. Around our parts we call them “specks” where as people from the North call them “spots”. The dorsal and tail fin are always spotted. Occasionally, a spotted seatrout is captured with spots only on the fins and not the body. Spotted trout get to 20 lbs. and the Florida record in Florida is 17.7 lbs. was caught in Ft. pierce FL on the East Coast.

Florida Black Drum Fishing Charters
Black Drum are the largest of the drum family also known as Pogonias Cromis black drum get to 100 lbs. with the Florida record is 96 lbs. caught in Fernandina beach fl. On 4-12-2001 though most fish are found in the 5-30 lb. range. They are black or gray in color and the juveniles have dark stripes on the sides. Their teeth are rounded like cobblestones so they can easily crush oysters and other shellfish.

Day Dreamer Fishing offers fishing gear rentals with all necessary equipment you need to catch all of the species of fish off the beach or pier in Naples, Florida. Our fishing poles are all light spinning rods with braided line. Poles come strung up with flora carbon leader with a size 1 circle hook. Cast nets, bait buckets and fully stocked tackle boxes are also available for rent.
