King Mackerel Fishing In Florida
King Mackerel is the largest of mackerel family also known as Scomberomorus Maculatus are a part of the tuna family. These fish can get to over 100 lbs. With the Florida record being 90 lbs. caught in Key West. They move thru the Naples area from October and by April they are heading south of the keys sometimes getting 100 yards from the beach where we can catch them from 30 to 50 lbs.

Florida Spanish Mackerel Fishing Charters
Spanish Mackerel are the smaller member of mackerel family, also known as Scomberomorus Maculatus. Spanish get to15 lbs. the Florida record is 12 lbs. caught in Ft. Pierce Fl. Spanish move in close to the beach in fast moving schools and migrate to Florida in the winter and early spring. The majority of Spanish mackerel are still caught from boats trolling spoons anywhere from a half-mile to five miles off the beach We use small bait with a wire leader of 30ft tied to a barrel swivel. For the bigger fish, we drift smaller live baits, such as mullet minnows or smaller menhaden.

Yes, we fish for Cero Mackerel in South Florida. cero mackerel are the best eating of the mackerel family also known as Scomberomorus Regalis. These Ceros get to 20 lb. with the Florida record 17.2 lbs. caught in Islamorada, Fl. Ceros exist only in the warm Caribbean and some southerly Gulf waters by Texas, and nowhere else in the world.

Day Dreamer Fishing offers fishing gear rentals with all necessary equipment you need to catch all of the species of fish off the beach or pier in Naples, Florida. Our fishing poles are all light spinning rods with braided line. Poles come strung up with flora carbon leader with a size 1 circle hook. Cast nets, bait buckets and fully stocked tackle boxes are also available for rent.
